Reporting Internet abuse

Before proceeding to abuse report form be sure to complete the following steps:
  • Locate the offending IP address
     
  • Check whether the abuse was commited by an ASTER subscriber - does the IP number of the offending computer belong to the class administered by ASTER
     
    • If NOT - the report is to be sent to the operator of the specific address. ASTER can ONLY accept reports of abuse that originated from the computers using IP's administered by ASTER
       
    • If YES - it is necessary to specify the type of abuse and materials/evidence needed in the report form

  • VIRUS
  • SCAN/PORT SCANNING
  • HACKING
  • OPEN PROXY
  • DoS ATTACK
  • COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT
  • OTHER

  • Attacked IP - Your IP address
  • Exact time, date and timezone of event
  • Copy of full e-mail header and content - click here
  • Copy of newsgroup message and full header - click here
